What is waiting room TV and how does practice TV work?
Waiting room TV displays your own practice information on a television or screen in the waiting area. MedicScreen creates and manages the agreed content for your practice. A preconfigured mini PC plays it automatically. This turns a waiting-room television into a digital patient-information system.
Can I use my existing television in the waiting room?
During the consultation, we check whether your existing television is suitable based on its connections and planned use. MedicScreen connects a preconfigured mini PC; the network connection uses Wi-Fi or LAN. A suitable screen and installation can be included on request.
What content is suitable for a screen in a medical practice?
Examples include opening hours, holiday cover, team introductions, preventive-care offers and notes about practice procedures. Images, weather, medical quizzes and quotes can also be displayed. Prophylaxis and self-pay services can be explained clearly as well. We align the content with your specialty.
How much does waiting room TV cost for a medical practice?
Packages start at €69 per month. The weather plugin can be added for €5 per month and patient calling via the GDT interface for €39 per month. The exact price depends on the number of screens, package scope and selected add-ons. Travel, installation and adapting slides to your practice colours and logo are quoted individually on request. Who updates the patient information?
MedicScreen manages and maintains the slides for your practice. You send us changes, topics or current notices; we prepare the content for your waiting-room TV.
Which practices are suitable for digital signage in the waiting room?
MedicScreen is suitable for general practitioners, dental practices, other medical specialties and physiotherapy practices. Digital signage means displaying information digitally on screens. Is patient calling via the waiting-room screen possible?
Yes, with the optional patient-calling add-on via the GDT interface for €39 per month. The local MedicScreen Bridge only sends the call number and room to the screen. MedicScreen does not need patient data for general practice information.
Which practice-management systems work with patient calling?
Patient calling uses the GDT interface. Suitable GDT-capable systems include CGM MEDISTAR, TURBOMED, ALBIS, medatixx, x.isynet, x.concept, x.comfort, Medical Office, T2med and tomedo.
